Grand Lucayan Lighthouse Point

Welcome to Grand Lucayan Lighthouse Point,  where modern luxury meets the tropics.  It’s a stunning 372-acre resort, hugging the warm, turquoise waters on Grand Bahama Island. A magnificent 7.5-acre pristine white sand beach curves along the gentle coast, and makes for a spectacular view and a perfect complement to this resort. It boasts the perfect shoreline for catching some rays and building magnificent sandcastles in the white sand. Clear blue waters lap up against the shore and splash about as guests enjoy the ocean to its fullest - boating, snorkeling, parasailing, fishing, jet skiing and more.

Comfort is key here. Located on the resort’s west end, and surrounded by tropical glistening coastline, the Grand Lucayan Lighthouse Point is the perfect place for a relaxing romantic escape or a memorable family getaway. The well-appointed guest rooms at the Grand Lucayan are spacious and scenic, with plush honey-toned furniture, roomy bathrooms and all the thoughtful amenities you would expect from a 4-Star resort. Each room is artfully simple in design, with Bahamian plantation shutters opening up to spectacular views. Room amenities include cable TV, Internet service, safe, telephones, data port, hair dryer, coffee maker, kitchenette, iron/ironing board and 24-hour room service.

When it’s time to dine, you’ll find there’s something here to satisfy everyone’s palate. With 13 delicious, themed restaurants and lounges featuring mouth-watering cuisine from all over the world! Bon Appétit.

Looking for some fun? The Sugar Mill Pool features a 60-foot-high tower, and a delightful 10-person Spa tub to unwind in. When it’s playtime, there are two of the finest golf courses in the Bahamas – The Reef Club and Lucayan Country Club. Both have hosted the PGA’s Bahamas National Open, the Senior PGA’s Slam, and 12 other national championships. And, we suggest you plan a visit to the 25,000-square-foot Senses Spa & Fitness Center. It has a state-of-the-art fitness center, fully-equipped for a wide variety of workouts and classes; while the tranquil Spa offers relaxing massage services and soothing skin care treatments. Good bye stress.

Got kids? The family friendly, sand playground and 35-foot-diameter wading pool is great for children. Poolside games, crafts and athletic competitions are offered daily. And, for an additional fee, kids can join Camp Lucaya, offering kid friendly, supervised activities for children ages 3–12. This resort is perfect for families.  It’s no wonder why the Grand Lucayan Lighthouse Point was named Parents Magazine’s #1 Beach Resort for Families in 2008.

At Grand Lucayan Lighthouse Point, you can do as much or as little as you please. Whether basking in the glow of the sun’s warm rays on the beach, lounging at one of the seven generous swimming pools, playing tennis on 4 unique tennis courts with each offering surfaces of the Grand Slam (including rebound ace, deco turf, natural grass and red clay courts), or playing an 18-hole round of golf at either of the two championship golf courses . . . there’s something to suit everyone’s desires.

The Center can also arrange windsurfing, jet skiing, parasailing, banana boating, boating, sailing, fishing, and other “water-ful” adventures that are sure to set your heart alight. The sparkling ocean surface hides an underwater world resplendent with life. Coral reefs attract marlin, sailfish, tuna, mahi-mahi, bonefish and mackerel.

Your taste buds will journey throughout the Caribbean savoring spicy West Indian flavors, across continents and oceans to succulent Asian barbecue, and to classic American fare, at distinct eateries offering formal and informal dining.

The Rhythm of the Night – If you want to stay up long after the sun goes down, head over to Grand Lucayan Lighthouse Point’s Treasure Bay Casino. This on-site, adult play land features 35,000 sq. ft. of gaming space, including 21 tables of baccarat, Caribbean stud poker, blackjack and roulette. You can also test your luck on 400 exciting slots. Or, check out the beachside Prop Club, which appeals to those searching for a more laid-back adventure. It’s a funky, laid-back beachfront nightclub and dining spot. A favorite among resort guests, the inside of Prop Club has the look of an old, industrial airplane hangar, with propellers, metal parts and ship hulls hanging all over the walls and ceiling. The Havana Cay Cigar Bar, featuring the finest cigars from Cuba and the Dominican Republic, is also a hotspot on the island.

Passports on the ship are not needed, but are useful and make getting on and off the cruise easier.  For cruise only passengers that do not have a passport, a driver's license and raised-seal birth certificate are required.

For our customers that are staying on Grand Bahama Island with one of our stay and play packages, a passport is absolutely necessary.
